Requirements to make your own autonomous mobile robot (AMR)
Hardware requirements:
- LiDaR
- DC geared motors with encoders
- L293D Motor driver x 1
- 12V battery
- Arduino Uno/Mega (Mega recommended)
- Single board computer like Raspberry Pi 3B ( Jetson Nano recommended)
- 32GB microSD card
- Modular base for differential drive
- Motor clamps
- Wheels and castors
If you are a CK-9 user, you’ve saved a lot of money on some of the components, as CK-9 is cheaper than the cost of individual components combined!
Software requirements:
PC with Ubuntu 18.04 and ROS Melodic installed
Miscellaneous items:
Please make sure you have an internet enabled hotspot to connect your workstation and robot to.
Make sure you have a microSD card reader to write and read images on the microSD card.
